Christopher Lutsker (Chris Lux) is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, dialogue mixer, and copyist based in Brooklyn, New York. His music and audio work spans multiple award-winning documentaries, animations, and short narrative films. He is best known for his score for the animated short “What a Flop!” which received the 2025 Marion Carter Green Award from the National Board of Review for best original music, and as a composer, bassist and dialogue editor for the environmental and political documentary “La Esperanza.”
As a performer, Chris primarily plays piano and upright or electric bass in a jazz, rock, pop, or musical theater context across various venues and ensembles in and around New York City. His music has been recorded and performed by multiple orchestras and ensembles, including the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, Budapest Symphony Orchestra, NYU Orchestra, Brooklyn College Conservatory, ACES Educational Center for the Arts, and the Greater Connecticut Youth Orchestras.
Chris is currently enrolled in the Master’s program in Screen Scoring at NYU after earning a B.M. in Music Composition from Brooklyn College under a full-tuition merit scholarship. Aside from music, Chris enjoys video games, hiking, and discussing urban transit networks!
